BIRTHDAY TIME!

ONE YEAR OLD! Can you believe it? Rock spent the day having fun- library, park, play time with cousin Nataile, party time, park again, and then a well deserved sleep! He got to try all sorts of firsts, Mom and dad got him Honey Nut Cheerios and Chocolate milk for his birthday- he seemed mildly interested.

Rock looks so... what's the work I'm looking for... Pimpin. And Natalie looks...scared.

This picture requires a bit of an explaination. Meet the 'Perfect Pet'. Seriously, that's what they're called. If you can't tell it's a helium balloon cow. We also bought a T-Rex and a little doggie. Rebecca and I started our adventure when we decided to walk to the $store where I saw these and really wanted to buy them for Rock's party. When I got them I was suprised that they didn't float- but they cashier assured me that's how they are supposed to be. It's a cute idea, kids can pull them by the leash and the animals just walk along, as Natalie is here demonstrating. The challenge was getting all three balloons home with 2 strollers! Not an easy task when they don't float. Needless to say if anyone was driving down 67th Ave around 1pm yesterday they probably got a show-

'The Rock'- Joe's personal design

A little coaxing from dad didn't really help.

We moved into the high chair but he still wasn't intereted.
Someone suggested giving him a pretzel to dip in the cake.

It just wasn't worth it...

A Few Things Rock Has Been up to Lately...

A truck should never be used for anything as mundane as simply driving in...

Does this giraffe look like road kill to anyone else?

Also, Rocky's favorite thing to collect right now is anything with a cord. I found the hand mixer in my closet the other day.
A straightener...

Phone charger, and a Vacuum- maybe next year with the vacuum bud...

Blow dryer and a straightener- 2 for the price of one!

A Space Heater...

Dad's Shaver...
Speakers...

Happy Birthday Cameron!

Cameron turned 2! And our little Rocky boy has a thing for older girls...
Rock and Cameron looking like they're having the time of their lives on the swings at little Cameron's birthday party!

Not too long until Rocky will be celebrating his very own birthday!!!

Christmas 2009

Our neighborhood aparantly goes all out during the holidays with the decorations. Here are a few examples of some exceptional houses.

One of our family traditions is driving around to look at Christmas lights sometime during the season. This is the first year it was warm enough to take a stroll rather than a drive.
Another family tradition is fast becoming a winter trip to Overgaard, Az. We were lucky enough to go last year with the Nuckles, but this year we got to spend it with the Nuckles and the Esplins! Who could be this lucky? Best part of the picture is Cameron- she wouldn't ditch the bunny beannie or the mittens.
Rock is already getting shooting lessons from mom and dad.

Stunnas!
Willyerd Family tradition- Pajama line up on Christmas morning. Just as the title suggests, we all line up in our pajamas and take a picture! We got to go to Oregon this year to celebrate with Warren and Margaret, and Ashley- Joe's parents and sister.
Despite what this picture may look like, Rocky didn't sit still for very long on dad's lap. He was so happy and giddy on Christmas morning. Joe and I couldn't really remember a day where Rocky was happier. We think he just sensed that it was a good day and everyone's good mood rubbed off or something.
Grandma Weatherspoon- allowing Rocky to remove the batteries from the remote, AGAIN.
This is Rocky's toy stash.
Rock is the Alfa-male, and he knows it. Rosco isn't used to anyone running the house other than him. He put up with it well, but i'm not sure he loved being kicked out of his bed.
Ashley snagged this ice saucer from a wheel barrow.

I love where Joe's parents live. They are surrounded by farm fieds and old farm houses and equipment. I made Joe pose there for a picture- I just think it would be the perfect backdrop for family photos one day...
We made it back home in time to spend a fun new years with the Nuckles. Joe captured this shot with his long reach.

Sleigh Ride with Santa

Rocky met Santa for the first time this weekend! He didn't cry or get upset on Santa's lap however, he did put his pacifier in his mouth (which many of you know he never uses a pacifier) which was funny to Joe and I- he had a little bit of nerves being so close to the big guy.

He didn't want to leave when it was over but thankfully Santa brought his candy bag and gave Rocky a mini candy cane. Joe and I were shocked to see that he had finished it before we got home. Especially since we live less than .5 miles from Santa's sleigh.

ZOO

Rock went to the zoo with his cousin Natalie last week! Natalie looks like she is figuring out if she really wanted him to tag along on her zoo season pass or not.

I tried to tell Rocky to not clam up and just have fun...

Once we got to the play area he and Natalie really started to have a good time,

Thanks for the fun day Auntie Becky and Natalie

ZOO Lights

Unfortuantely Joe had to sit this adventure out because of work, but Rocky and mom, Kaylee, Cameron, Jon and Andy all went to the Phoenix Zoo to enjoy the Chrsitmas lights! It was really fun- and a little chilly ( alright have your laughs- I know most of you think AZ never gets cold).

My first hot cocoa of he season! Delicious! Thanks again Knuckles!
