Utah for the Weekend!

There were lots of good reasons we took off for the weekend to visit Lizzy's family in Utah.
Pearl, Mona, and new baby Maxine were the top three!  Lizzy's new house was another.  They have empty lots on either side of them, and one of the lots has a huge dirt mountain.  The kids come down with dirt clinging to their eye brows, hair, clothes, everywhere! It reminded me of the scene from Sandlot after the vacuum cleaner blows up in the fort...

Being the runt of the pack, Rosy had last pick of the bikes and other kid locomotives.  She LOVED this sit scooter and got really mad at daddy for taking a turn on it.  She can get a little bossy.

Aunty Lizzy has an Aunt Nancy bathtub.  I believe there is a photo out there that exists of Lizzy, Me, Sean and Lexi looking a lot like this.

We got to catch up with our dear friends the Smith's!  Joe and Smitty, and sweet little Jaxson are pictured here. Joe and Smitty were each other's wingman during the single years.  I actually met Smitty the same day I met Joe- he was Joe's wingman that wonderful weekend in Idaho.

We had a blast at 7 Peaks water park.  Aunty Ashley wins MVP that day.  Pearl and Rocky were attached at her hip.  I've never seen Rocky so in his element as he was slipping down those water slides.  Rosy too.  Seriously, such a fun day!

We thought those kids would all be wiped out on the drive home.  They stayed awake for the strawberries and to watch Robin Hood.  I would skip a nap for that too.

Rosy on the other hand went for the nap!
A tractor came and removed the dirt mountain while we were there- watching the tractor was almost as fun as playing on it so they weren't too disappointed.

Highlight of the trip: Meeting the Marvelous Maxine.  Rocky was so sweet with her.

Rosy really was too.  Except for that one time she threw a plastic stool at her head.  Honestly I don't think that was a malicious act, she was just sharing.

There's something about that Maxine...Everyone wants to hold and love her.  She's a keeper.

These two are 2 months apart and up until now have gotten along fine, but mostly Rocky gravitated towards Pearl.  This trip however, Rocky and Mona were inseparable.  The fact that Pearl is an extremely dutiful older sister to her Maxine baby might have played a part in Rocky and Mona spending more time together.  Either way, they were the cutest little twins. LOVED IT.
